Speak to your early years team Although they may be called something else in your area, the early years team of your local authority help support childminders through training and CPD and can help you connect with them.  
What kind of childminder are you looking to work with?

Childminding can be hugely varied, for example, network childminders can provide:

  • emergency childminding
  • support childminding (e.g. helping new recruits)
  • community childminding
  • early education places
  • care for disabled and vulnerable children
  • out-of-hours childminding.
