Exciting times for NCMA Local
NCMA Local Peer Support networks gearing up to go live!
The new national initiative funded by the Department for
Education to develop and improve peer support networks for
childminders and nannies at a local level will be going live from
January 2012.
NCMA Local peer networks will be set up across 30 locations in
England by March 2012. The initiative will offer opportunities and
benefits to childminders and nannies including:
- Meeting socially and/or professionally with like-minded
people
- Peer support and advice
- Reduced isolation in your profession
- Networking online
- Information and support on accessing training and professional
development
- A strong local voice in your community
- Help keeping up to date with childcare policy and
legislation
- Business skills improvement
Being in the know
Information about the networks has been sent out to childminders
and nannies telling them about the initiatives in their local
authority area. Remember, if you're interested or have any queries,
email peersupportnetwork@ncma.org.uk.
