Children's future aspirations
NCMA has launched research into children’s aspirations
today. Many registered childminders and nannies are celebrating the
work they do to encourage children’s aspirations.
Melanie Atkinson from Ipswich said "as a
registered childminder I am delighted to be able to offer my
services to parents and children, from my own home and am excited
about the future and pleased that my aspirations to work with
children have been achieved through hard work, dedication and
support from friends and family.
"I will be celebrating with the children in my
care by giving them a chance to see what their own parents have
achieved and discuss what their aspirations are and how we can work
together to help them achieve their goals."
National Childminding Week runs from 4-11
June. This year’s theme is Aspiration, and during the week NCMA
will be highlighting the great work registered childminders and
nannies do in helping children to consider their future
aspirations.
The week will also celebrate the aspirations
of registered childminders and nannies in increasing their
professional development and future career opportunities.
