NCMA's Chair, Sue Davis, opened the Conference, welcomed members to an opportunity to share their experiences and learn something new. She went on to introduce members of the National Policy Forum, the Board and NCMA's President, Dame Gillian Pugh.

Professor Tanya Byron Child psychologist, broadcaster and government child internet safety adviser, Professor Tanya Byron was the keynote speaker. She gave an interesting and informative speech to delegates, beginning by praising childminders. "I value you as a profession, You are the spine of the industry, of education, of the public and private sector."
Dame Gillian Pugh NCMA's President, Dame Gillian Pugh, welcomed delegates to the Policy Debate. Results of the debate can be viewed in My Voice in MyNCMA.
Delegates in workshops Delegates attended workshops on supporting children’s play; multi-sensory learning; encouraging confidence in numbers; gender differences; and the proposed changes to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
NCMA Conference dinner dance The weekend finished in style with a delicious three-course meal followed by dancing. After a full and busy day of networking, learning and debate, delegates danced the night away. You can buy copies of the official photographs taken on the night from Event Photo.
