Support for all consultation
NCMA has responded to the Department for
Children, Schools and Families consultation on Support for All: The
families and Relationships Green Paper
(21 April 2010)
This Green Paper sets out a
wide range of measures to support all families as they bring up
their children.
NCMA has called for firm
steps to be taken by government to ensure that every family in
every community has access to high-quality, home-based childcare
with particular effort directed at addressing the decline in
registered childminder numbers through investment, support and the
promotion of registered childminding.
NCMA is also
calling on the Government to continue to help parents with the
cost of childcare and give every family the option to choose
registered childminders to deliver government-funded childcare
places.
