Children's Centres' outreach

NCMA responds to consultation on the core principles for effective outreach from children's centres

(12 April 2010)

NCMA was consulted as part of a representative group and proposed that the principles, standards and skills for outreach workers should include a firm knowledge of local care and strong links with local families information services.

NCMA also proposed that registered childminders may be in a position to under take outreach work for a local children's centre due to their unique relationship with families and parents.
