Become a volunteer

At NCMA, there are a range of opportunities to volunteer with
the organisation. The childminder members of the Board, including
the Vice Chair, and the National Policy Forum started as
volunteers in local childminding groups and associations.
If you're interested in volunteering with NCMA, here are some
ideas to consider...
Get local
Become part of the Regional Organising Committee in your local
area. You can assist in organising and participating in events
that allow local childminders to discuss issues affecting them. If
you've not yet gone to one of your regional meetings,
find out more about them here.
Facilitating others
Become a Facilitator for NCMA
Local, our peer support networks project.
Telling others about childminding
Work with NCMA staff around the country to help promote and
support National Childminding Week. Or find out if
there are other childminding events or initiatives in your area
that you can lend a hand to.
Join the debate
Become part of the National Policy Forum and debate national and
regional policy issues.
Tell your story
Send us your details for our case studies
database. We are always looking for NCMA members who are happy
to speak about the work that they do. It's these examples of good
practice that help us promote the benefits of childminding.
